Meet Sara. My first intern. Don't kill me Sarah. I took this at the wedding last weekend.
A little about Sarah...she could probably write a much better biography, but here it goes. She's well traveled and has studied in fine art. From the first time we met we had LOTS in common. I was sharing with someone the other day that she's a great intern. There's just something about people who have traveled and lived in a different country. Seems to be a deep peace and appreciation embedded in their soul. An appreciation that breeds respect and trust. Sarah and I could probably sit and talk for hours, without stopping, about everything from natural childbirth to how God is leading in our lives.
Not only did I connect with her when we first met, but I loved her photography. Her photography is more about photojournalism than perfection. I LOVE this about her work. Her eye for seeing things is great and very raw (that's a compliment).
Seeing as Sarah is my first intern it's been a learning experience for me. I haven't had alot of one on one time with her, but she's seen me shoot both a portrait session and an event. Hopefully she learned something in the observations. Soon we'll get together to go over some mechanics, but really, she doesn't need my influence. She's already got a beautiful talent and eye for seeing the world. An eye rooted in a love for God makes it hard to not see the goodness around us. I love this quote from her site: "Earth's crammed with Heaven, and every common bush fire with God; But only he who sees, takes off his shoes." - Elizabeth Barrett Browning
