I know, I know, it's not even Thanksgiving and I'm blogging Santa! That's just how it goes in this line of work. Always thinking a season ahead. Normally by the time Christmas gets here I'm ready for spring because I've been "Christmas-ing" since late summer. However, obviously, I was a bit preoccupied this summer so I've actually not been thinking about Christmas at all. After many requests, I finally whipped up a date for Santa portraits and oh was it fun! It kicked my tail. Literally. From 9 to almost 5, photographing kids who averaged 3, 2, or younger, wowsa! If you've seen me shoot Santa portraits you understand. I literally lay on my back, stomach, I'm on my knees...all over the place the entire time. Santa told "Mrs. Claus" who came to visit for a while that afternoon..."watch her shoot." He always says, "I don't know how you do it." This would also explain why I only do it one time a year. No need for that sort of bodily torture more than once.
So of course Sadie Mae had to meet Santa this year. She looked at him in wonder like she looks at us all the time...just trying to figure things out. It's very exciting to be approaching the holidays with her!
Sorry guys I'm not blogging your Santa portraits yet. Hopefully I'll have time to post some later.
