I'm in at 113 Retreat Street! Now it feels very official. I'm so excited about the possibilities of this space. One new venture in particular, the downstairs/gallery area for party rentals! Woohoo! We have our first party, a bridal shower, next weekend and we are pumped...me and Alison, the event planner, that is. She's helping me with this little venture and she's been a HUGE help getting the studio in tip top shape for the apple festival too. What in the world would I do without her?? I know her brides feel the exact same...because they've told me so!
I might add this is only the gallery area. The upstairs is beautiful too, but not even close to completion.
If you're in the area this weekend for the Apple Festival come see me! I'll have some lemonade and a bathroom. :) Here's the rundown of the weekends activities.

One last mention, at the risk of sounding cheesy...you know sometimes when you're inspired to do something it doesn't start off as planned. You might even get a little discouraged...I've been through lots in the past 7 years with the studio, but one thing remained, that sure voice I heard while sitting in the airport in Sao Paulo. That vision I caught of God's plan. It's safe and quite funny to say that I never dreamed of all of this. I didn't want all of this (studio stuff), serious. All I wanted was to live in the jungle, to travel the world, work with other people in other nations... Can I just say I have no idea where this all will lead, but I'm confident of one thing, it's God's plan. I could have never dreamed of the good things he's given me. I'm glad I didn't see the big picture, this awesome opportunity, during all of my times of disappointments because this moment just wouldn't be as sweet. Thanks God.
