Let the birthday party planning commence....

Whew, charity stuff is over and the baby's 2nd birthday is just around the corner. I've been thinking about and buying here and there since the end of last summer, which is the perfect time to buy great summer related items. I knew I loved the colors red and aqua and I found some great summer serving dishes in those colors for just a few dollars on clearance. I've also "pinned" my favorite ideas, crafts, foods, invites, on Pinterest, my favorite new site for all things I love. This has really been my saving grace and I feel much more prepared to take on Sadie Mae's 2nd birthday. The Date Is Set: After much deliberation about the day of her party, her birthday is July the 4th, and much consideration about what family will be in and out of town....we finally just decided to have it on the 4th weekend. It's so hard to plan a party, add in the fact that it's a holiday weekend, and the variables can be a bit much.

The Place Is Set: Yep the place is set, I think. Gotta call for a camp spot. Hoping there's one still available. So obviously this will be a weekend celebration, not just a one day celebration. Ha! The place has water, which is the number one requirement in 100 degree weather, AND the number one requirement for a happy and content baby for long periods of time.

Decor & Food: Ahhhh, one of my favorite things...working on it all and invites. Here's my inspiration board....can't wait to show you guys the end results. This is just inspiration....not everything I'm going to do, most likely. And I always modify, modify, modify to fit our scheme. Happy summer party planning to you all! ....oh, btw, those rockets are pull string confetti poppers, awesomeness! Definitely doing those!
